Candle Care & Safety Guide
🕯️ Candle Care & Safety Guide
Whether you're lighting your favourite scent to relax, reset, or refresh, following proper candle care ensures a safe burn and extends the life of your candle.
🔥 Burning Tips
Trim the wick to 5mm (¼ inch) before each burn. This prevents high flames, soot, and uneven burning.
Let the wax melt fully to the edges of the vessel during the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout.
Burn for 2–4 hours at a time. Longer burns may cause the wick to shift, and shorter burns can create a tunnel.
Extinguish with care. Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame—avoid dipping the wick into the wax.
Keep the wick centered and upright after each burn to ensure an even flame.
⚠️ Candle Safety Warnings
Always burn candles within sight and away from drafts, pets, children, and flammable materials.
Place candles on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
Never move a lit candle. Allow wax to cool and solidify before handling.
Do not burn candles all the way to the bottom. Stop when 1cm (½ inch) of wax remains.
Keep candles away from direct sunlight and heat to avoid discoloration or melting.
✨ Candle Storage
Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve scent and colour.
Replace the lid or cover when not in use to keep the wax dust-free and retain fragrance.
✨ Reuse Your Vessel
We are all about reusable, sustainable and ethical practices.
When finished burning your candle, simply discard any leftover soy wax with a paper towel. Then, rinse the vessel with warm soapy water, towel dry and ready to use for whatever creative purpose in your space!
🌸 Product-Specific Care Instructions
For Decorative Candles (e.g., sculptural or novelty candles):
These candles are designed primarily for display. If you choose to burn them, always place them on a flat, non-flammable dish or tray to catch melting wax.
Expect irregular dripping or melting patterns—this is part of their unique charm.
Trim the wick before the first and each subsequent burn.
Keep burning time to under 2 hours to preserve the shape for as long as possible.
Due to their design, they may not burn evenly or completely—this is normal.
Tip: For aesthetic pieces, many customers prefer to enjoy them as statement décor without lighting.
